Summary:
The Plant Controller is responsible for adhering to the Company's Accounting Policies and Procedures by establishing a strong Internal Control environment in the facility. This position has complete responsibility for P&L and Balance Sheet creation and integrity, to include all necessary analysis of the results. They will manage the accounting staff and will operate as a business partner for the Plant Manager by identifying financial and operational risks and opportunities in advance and communicate them accordingly. Responsibilities:
Annual Budget Establishes annual plant budget with input from plant management team Validates and reviews lean savings, labor and resource planning, capital spending, sales, inventory, launch and prototype spend. Presents plant package to Division and communicates to plant staff Forecast & Closing Complete responsibility for P&L and Balance Sheet creation and integrity, to include all necessary analysis of the results. Identify Financial / Operational risks and opportunities in advance and communicate them to management. Validate and confirm the plant's financial results and communicate to plant staff Operations Support Responsible for weekly numbers composition and review Validate lean projects and identify lean opportunities Perform cycle count validation and approval Approve Coupa spend and DMNs Validate daily report Support plant projects and initiatives (MOS boards, etc) Internal Controls Responsible for adherence to the Company's Accounting Policies and Procedures. Establishes a strong Internal Control environment in the Plant. Ensures required mitigating controls are being completed Monitors policy adherence and implementation of plant level controls for all company policies, procedures and work instructions. Completes audits and required reviews per guidelines Financial Support Operate as the business partner of the Plant Manager. Serve as a consultant and advisor on all financial matters in the plant. Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance Five years of Accounting/Finance experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum of six months of supervisory experienced required Possess the necessary managerial skills to plan, organize, lead and control the Accounting functions. Must be able to analyze financial statements and manufacturing variances Must be thoroughly familiar with manufacturing processes, how BOM's & routings, labor reporting, standard costing and overhead allocations Must be familiar with budgeting / forecasting processes Ability to communicate effectively within all levels of the organization Ability to apply understanding of the business and how own team contributes to the achievement of results Requires in-depth understanding and application of concepts, theories and principles in own discipline and basic knowledge of other disciplines Experience in Microsoft Office applications Willingness and ability to travel, as necessary Work Environment/Work Conditions:
Professional Office Environment Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floor Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required Equipment used requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injury
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Accounting, Corporate FinanceEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
